FAQ

Are these safe on coated wheels?

Yes, when used as directed. Always work on cool surfaces, don’t let products dry, and spot test if you’re unsure.

Do I need Iron Decon every wash?

No. Use Iron Decon when you want a true reset—heavy brake dust buildup, gritty feel, or before protection. For maintenance washes, Wheel Wash is often enough.

Can I use these in direct sun?

We don’t recommend it. Heat makes products dry faster and increases the chance of staining. Work on cool surfaces whenever possible.

What happens if the product dries?

Don’t let it. If it starts to dry, re-wet immediately and rinse thoroughly. Drying is the #1 reason people have issues with wheel chemicals.

What’s the correct order?

Iron Decon → Wheel Wash → Tire Prep
Decon removes what’s bonded, Wheel Wash finishes the surface, Tire Prep resets the rubber so dressing applies evenly.

Why do my tires still look brown after cleaning?

Tires hold onto old dressing and residue. You usually need a true prep step + brushing. Scrub until foam turns light, then rinse and repeat if needed.

Can I use Tire Prep as a dressing?

No—Tire Prep is a prep/cleaning step. Apply your preferred dressing after the tire is clean and dry.

Do I need a brush?

For best results, yes—especially on tires and heavy wheel grime. Agitation improves consistency and saves time.

What’s the difference between the Duo and Pro Trio?

  • Duo: Iron Decon + Wheel Wash (wheel reset)

  • Pro Trio: adds Tire Prep (complete wheel + tire workflow)

How long should I let each product dwell?

  • Iron Decon: 3–4 minutes

  • Wheel Wash: 1–2 minutes

  • Tire Prep: 30–60 seconds
    Always: do not let dry.
